Conventional medications, surgery, or radiation exposure all harbor an inherent risk for adverse events. An increasing number of individuals are aware of these risks and seek natural alternatives in the form of herbs and nutritional supplements. Unfortunately, misleading information and fear mongering in mainstream media influences the public’s perception of herbs and natural healing modalities. Patients are often left skeptical of herbal efficacy, concerned about heavy metal toxicity or fearful of potential herb-to-drug interactions. This seminar aims to provide health professionals with the knowledge necessary to use herbal solutions in a safe and effective manner. Attendees will be empowered with a detailed understanding of current research confirming the efficacy of herb phytonutrients—long known to traditional tribal herbalists before the advent of formal Pharmacology.

Seminar Highlights
•Review the long standing history and use of herbs and current relationship to Pharmacognosy
•Gain a sound methodology for assessing herb safety, especially in pregnancy, lactation, or surgery
•Review key concepts of herb-to-drug and drug-to-herb interactions
•Learn synergistic applications of herbs and nutrition in various common conditions and the science supporting the use of herbal phytonutrients
•Gain key herbal approaches to supporting heart health, immune support, liver detoxification, digestion, and brain/cognitive health
